Less than a third of S&P 500 companies reveal targets or goals for executive compensation, despite SEC disclosure regulations to inform shareholders about pay and incentive programs. Paul Hodgson, author of The Corporate Library's latest report on executive compensation, says, "While this represents a huge increase over practice in the past, it is not surprising that the general lack of disclosure in this area was a key focus of the comment letters that the SEC has been sending to companies."
