Ventana Finds Value in Pre-built Report Templates

In theory, business intelligence (BI) tools were designed for the masses, but in practice, only a fraction of employees use them. According to Ventana Research, users have been held back by technical difficulties, some of which can be overcome by using pre-built report templates. Ventana's recent Application BI study found that 86 percent of respondents recognized the value of pre-built report templates and 92 percent found pre-built report templates' ability to shorten development time valuable. To take advantage of these benefits, Ventana suggests assessing the use of pre-built report templates for ERP and CRM transactional systems.
