Cognos Cleared in SEC Review

The SEC's Division of Corporation Finance has cleared Cognos Inc., the Ottawa, Canada-based business performance management software vendor, of any wrongdoing in its revenue-recognition policies for post-contract customer support. In a statement on the company's Web site, Cognos president and CEO, Rob Ashe, said the company is (of course) pleased with the conclusion of the SEC review, and happy to get back to business as usual.
