From BusinessFinanceLink, Issue #328

The heightened focus on corporate governance that has been mounting since the Enron scandal has made executive compensation -- and, more recently, the backdating of stock option grants -- a major issue. Although he held back on any specifics, SEC Chairman Christopher Cox hinted this week that the agency may soon require better disclosure of stock option grants as part of its soon-to-be-unveiled executive compensation rule.
